Professor Esty is the Director of the Yale Center for Environmental Law and Policy as well as the Yale World Fellows Program and is the author or editor of eight books and numerous articles on environmental policy issues and the relationships between the environment and trade, globalization, security, competitiveness, international institutions, and development. His current research agenda includes projects on environmental protection in the Information Age and a rethinking for corporate environmental strategy. Esty will participate in, advise and consult throughout the day as part of the program's in-depth, highly-interactive expert knowledge exchange about creating more sustainable programs for the design of DVD packaging, and creating green disciplines for retail merchandising, transportation, and manufacturing. The program will provide tutorials on the new environmental scorecards from key retailers. Presentation and analysis of the latest carbon emission analysis of the DVD will debut. LOS ANGELES -- (January 30, 2008) --DEG: The Digital Entertainment Group has announced the first in a series of events designed to inform the studio and entertainment communities about the latest developments and opportunities for the environmental delivery of digital entertainment media. The Green Media Summit, scheduled for April 2, 2008 at the Luxe Hotel in Los Angeles, is an invitation-only meeting for an exclusive list of operations, creative services, marketing and sales delegates from content holders and their partners. "We need to make certain we deliver the content – be it physical or digital media – in an eco-friendly manner that is respectful of the environment,” said Bob Chapek, Chairman, DEG and President, Walt Disney Studios Worldwide Home Entertainment. “Now, more than ever, we need to work together to find solutions that help us watchdog ourselves into making a cleaner, greener world," The one-day event is being co-produced by the Entertainment Supply Chain Academy (ESCA), which will be developing the conference program in cooperation with Reed Business Information.
