A Day One afternoon highlight will be an in-depth summit on the state of the union of the online movie/TV retail market presented by David Cook, President and COO, CinemaNow;Scott Dougall, SVP and CM of Technology, Electronic Distribution Services.  Digital entertainment company CinemaNow and services provider Technicolor announced in April that they had developed a new digital movie delivery platform to sell to online retailers and hardware companies.

In addition, the session, which will be limited to the first 50 registrants, in order to provide an intimate and interactive session for all participants, will provide a break down of the cost components for end-to-end (front and back–end) digital delivery, identify key challenges and road blocks to digital delivery, and provide ideas for digital supply chain optimization and cost containment.

CinemaNow currently provides an online movie service that is accessible through its own website as well on various devices. The newly announced platform should make it easier for device makers and retailers to provide an online movie service and features functions like content encoding and encryption, digital rights management (DRM), ad management, order fulfillment across various consumer electronics categories.

As part of last April's announcement, Technicolor said they were also working to add high-definition movies to CinemaNow's library of more than 10,000 titles.
