Akin Ceylan is Executive Vice President of Operations, Home Entertainment, Lionsgate.

Ceylan is responsible for providing strategic direction and continuous improvement in managing operational activities that support Lionsgate’s revenue and profit generating initiatives. Prior to joining Lionsgate, Ceylan spent six years at MGM, rising to the level of Senior Vice President Domestic Operations. At MGM, he was responsible for overseeing the Home Entertainment Group’s operational activities for North America. He played a key role in the development and management of self-distribution as part of MGM’s strategic growth plan.

Prior to joining MGM in 1999, Ceylan spent the previous 19 years at retail, culminating with his tenure at Gelson’s Markets where he served as a Grocery Buyer since 1997. While at Gelson’s, he was responsible for developing category plans and pricing strategies to maximize margin and sales targets for an assigned group of categories. Before Gelson’s, Ceylan spent 14 years in different capacities at American Stores Company including store operations and sales & merchandising at the Lucky Stores division. His tenure with American Stores Company culminated as a National Inventory Manager with the corporate development and implementation of the company’s centralized procurement & logistics program for its seven divisions throughout the nation.
