BIO: Fernando Silva, Best Buy
ESCA | Nov 6, 2007, 10:06 Fernando Silva joined Best Buy in 2005 as Sr. Director for Product Line and Brand Management. He oversees the Product Development, Branding and Packaging of Best Buy’s Product Brands. Prior to Best Buy, Fernando worked for Eastman Kodak for 26 years in numerous capacities. He joined Kodak as an Electrical Engineer and moved through the ranks to Worldwide Vice-President of Marketing of the Consumer Printing Business. In 2002, Fernando was appointed President and General Manager of Pakon Inc., a Minneapolis based wholly-owned Kodak subsidiary. Fernando holds a MBA from the University of Rochester’s William E. Simon Graduate School of Business, and a Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in Electrical Engineering from the Rochester Institute of Technology. Fernando has served in the Executive Board of the Hispanic Organization for Leadership and Advancement (HOLA) and was an advisor to MIT’s Master of Science Product Development Program. He is the holder of six US patents. |
