BIO: Stewart Muller, President, Philips Consumer Electronics North America

Stewart Muller is President of Philips Consumer Electronics, North America, the Atlanta-based company serving the North American consumer electronics market for the $34.9 billion global electronics leader, Philips Electronics. 

Mr. Muller joined Philips Consumer Electronics in June of 2006, bringing 17 years of technology sector experience in strategic marketing, sales and general management in the retail and business-to-business sectors. 

Prior to joining Philips in North America, Mr. Muller spent nine years with Olympus America’s Consumer Products Group, most recently as Executive Vice President of Olympus Imaging America.  In his various assignments within Olympus, he developed a deep knowledge of national consumer electronics retailers and how to drive dramatic growth in a competitive industry. 
 
Mr. Muller also previously held managerial positions within Apple Computer for eight years, leaving the company with the title of National Sales Manager, U.S. Retail.  During his years at Apple, Mr. Muller learned the importance of design and how to humanize technology for the consumer.

Mr. Muller, a dynamic leader, is dedicated to building on the momentum of Philips Consumer Electronics in North America to drive profitable and sustainable growth.  He looks to make Philips the very best partner with which to do business and to deliver products that are innovative, simple and designed around consumer and retailer needs.

Mr. Muller holds a degree in Political Science from Georgetown University.  Mr. Muller is active in the Marty Lyons Foundation for Terminally Ill Children.  He also serves as the President and Chairman of Wesley Hall, Inc., which is an elderly and handicapped housing facility in Peekskill, NY. Finally, he serves on the Executive Board of the Consumer Electronics Association.
